RockRoots did a midweek gig at the IceHouse on Tuesday, part of the Topsy Turvy Tuesday series. We had a good group of theater camp kids and a few outsiders for this show. We did the show as usual, and it was especially good with the hip kids from PA Youth Theater. Some other families filled in.
The nice part was the question and answer session at the end. We don’t usually get this feedback, so it was enlightening. There was a great question about the New Orleans drumming, and Kevin said stuff that informed me. There are always good questions about why we play, what is our favorite music, and all these inquiries lead to some pithy replies. I think this leads to some interesting reactions from the band, as well.
A very nice gig close to home, and a chance for the RockRoots band to play for the home folks.
