Few gigs this week, but Friday was a return to a North side Bethlehem school I played for barter last spring. I got paid this time.
The kids were ready and were expecting Cat Came Back and Baby Shark. But I had some new stuff from the Playground album that I wanted to toy with so I broke out All Around the Kitchen and Jelly in the Dish, both of which went well. I also premiered an Earth Day song I’ve been working on for my ED gig in Camden on Monday, and it worked well with a call and response thing that I thought of during the week, working one side against the other, kids vs. teachers, boys vs. girls, me vs. them. It turned out well.
Tomorrow, three gigs.
