I must be making some progress on the Playground project. I completed full guitar tracks on the remaining tunes today – Baby Shark, Skip to my Lou, All Around the Kitchen, Jimalong Joe and Where are You Going, Rosalie. Kevin put in drum tracks for all these this weekend, so we were ready to roll this morning.
Baby Shark is becoming very interesting, with a somewhat dark chord progression. Kitchen and Jimalong are really cooking, and Skip has become a cool reggae tune to which I’ll add some mandolin. Where are You Going has a nice waltz feel to it. Kjell will add some bass in the next few weeks and we’ll be ready to hand out the tunes for vocals, some keys and harmonica.
I have some final vocal to do on my part on these songs, but ever closer…..
Tomorrow, a RR in NJ, and then the big Irish gig on Saturday, in the cold and possible rain.
