There’s a new project for recording a CD of Godfrey’s open mikers, and we did the initial session on Sunday afternoon. Bill Hall, who did the 25th anniversary South Side Sunday Nights, is producing this one and has some fine digital equipment that we got to start using. The whole process is on a learning curve but things are much easier with technology, email, good talent and some organization.
We invited select OM’ers to do one song, but to also be in the audience for the recordings. It worked well. We worked from 11:30 til 1:30 and picked up after my carol sing til 4:30. Folks did well and knocked out a lot of work. Next one in January, and if we get the system down, we can put out yearly CD’s. Amazing.
