I had the priviledge to help celebrate Lehigh County’s 200te birthday at Allentown’s Ag Hall on Saturday, along with several fellow music travelers Dina Hall, the Broz, BC etc. (though I was banished to the kids stage again) No matter, ’cause there was a nice assortment of friendly faces in the audience, some from long ago, and some fresh new folks. We mixed it up nicely, and I got my picture in the Morning Call again. A high light was the Iron Pigs mascot coming up on the stage with me and rendering ‘Take Me Out to the Ballgame’, though I did most of the singing. (all of it, actually)
A very nice event celebrating our community, and thanks to Don Cunningham, fellow musician, and present Lehigh County executive poobah (I forgot the real official title). Nice to know someone in the government that likes live music.
