We had a single assembly this afternoon along the Delaware River in Ewing, NJ. As we passed by a very affluent golf club and saw a beautiful facility at this charter school, we were not prepared to see a nearly all African American school population. We were delighted though. The lady who booked us was enthused that we would be doing our program chock full of African American artists, and that she had prepped the kids on the likes of Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters and Louis Armstrong.
As it turned out, the kids were great and the younger kids got up and danced towards the end. We had a good time with the school and we were appreciated by the staff for what we did. It was a good gig all around.
