We had a nice local RockRoots on Friday of Memorial Day Weekend. We had a split 9 am and 1:45 pm gig which is sometimes bothersome, but being close to home, we could spend the time in between productively. This is the home school for Steve’s kids so it was cool that he got to play for his kids and their friends.
Both shows moved nicely. I’m glad I’m back on track with the show – I was worried a month ago. The audiences were juiced, the gym actually sounded good and the teachers loved it. I’m not always so sure that the guys in the band appreciated how good the show is, but it consistently succeeds because of the format, my humor and ability to connect as well as the professionalism and musicianship of the players.
