I had a nice opportunity to play twice for this rather large preschool in Whitehall, the first as an assembly for the whole school on Wednesday morning and then for a family night on Thursday. A nice combination of two communities within the larger community.

The school show was in the sanctuary with the kids seated in the pews, not the ideal situation, especially with the amount of dancing and movement that I use. It was funny to do some moves where they bend over; with the high pews, I saw the whole audience disappear sometimes.

The principal said it was a great event. She even said that one particular teacher that has a relatively curmudgeonly reputation said that it was one of the best things the school has ever done. That felt good. It looks like we’ll do this next year as well, especially good for my early school year schedule.
