Quite a busy night at GD’s for the Open Mike. 25 folks signed up. Bill Hall was in the house to record for the potential GD OM CD so I had to get down two songs. I was back in the pack so I had to wait for a couple of hours.
I did Don’t Call Me Early in the Morning and followed with Lessons from Pete. I pretty much nailed them, though I still could have done better.
I changed strings before the set which breaks all the rules, but locking the strings and gently tugging on them did the trick, though I wasn’t quite sure.
It’s nice to see so many new and old friends come out to this wonderful community experience and witness the support that the community gives back.
