It was a relatively easy drive Friday morning to central Jersey for a 10:15 am single assembly in Berkeley Heights for 200 seventh graders. Normally, this would be a fairly aggravating age group, with kids sitting on their hands and trying hard not to react. This was delightful group of kids.

We play for this seventh grade class every year, so it’s good to have an annual gig to come around, especially during the slow month of February. We normally do this in the cafeteria, but today’s assembly was in the gym. Somehow, things were looser and the response was good. It’s also nice to be done by 11 am and back home by 12:30.

Time to regroup for tonight’s Red Door marathon.
