My final landing from Folk Weekend brought me to Sunday’s Open Mike at Godfreys. How appropriate to take the Mega to the Minor.
There was a large response to the OM with quite a few folk ready to play. Some regulars signed up early with some new folks later on. A good mix of pros and newbies, and that’s good.
I opened with Crazy Cause He Is from Dan Hicks and went to Luckiest Man for practice. An exercize in irony. So so responce.
The evening went well except for some Sony and Cher moments with friends that sparked some flame. Understandable and dealt with. It was nice to be engaged again with my very local community after such an intense megafolk experience.
I am grounded, once again.
