RockRoots opened up a great day at Washington School in Wyckoff, NJ. It was History Day, and the whole school was set up for a full day of workshops, demos, etc. with historic people, events, eras, etc. We were logical kick-off and it was great. A packed gym of 400 kids, parents in costumes, teachers. And, of course, the principal was dressed as George himself. (There were also 3 Martha’s in the back as well. I tried to get them to do the Motown moves on My Girl – matching outfits, and all.) One woman was dressed up as Rosie the Riveter. Awesome!

The place rocked. Kids and teachers danced and we were done at 10 am. It was a long drive  up to Northern Jersey but its always a nice ride home after playing for a school like this.
