RockRoots signed up for a local gig at the fabulous Ice House on Sand Island here in Bethlehem, part of Doug Roysdon’s Saturday’s Child series. It was a 10 am show just as a small winter storm blew into town, with flurries and sub-freezing temps. It was a small crowd (the bus of Hispanic kids from the SouthSide cancelled) but featured some wonderful moments.

Several kids got up the courage to dance, and that lead to some nice interaction for the band and the audience. The kids were younger than school age, so the educational stuff went over their heads, thought the parents and grandparents appreciated it. But, all in all, it was about sharing live music with families.

It was a tough load in and out, and coupled with a small audience a fairly hard gig. But, again, the lads rock!
