Though I was beat from two shows on Saturday, I signed up for a slot at Godfrey’s Open Mike, my home base. It is always a good time to reconnect with my fellow musicians, and it was so, again.

The host was Lloyd Steffen, Lehigh’s chaplin and a fine songwriter, father of Sam Steffen, so I felt compelled in my set to offer a Christmas tune from Bruce Cockburn, Mary Had a Baby, a rollicking tune with a nice response from the audience. I preceded that one with Santa Assassin, from Kent Aldrich in CT. It was a nice two song set for an open mike.

Good chats with Mike Duck and Mike Holliday.

These open mikes continue to center me in my community. Thanks to my Mikes.
