This is a classy place, filled with fine art, jewelry, ceramics, and more. I had to keep on reminding myself not to break anything. I succeeded. Not even a string.

First Friday is kind of an arts crawl through various venues on Third Street, folks wandering in and out of the shops. Several familiar faces and friends stopping by and listening to a song or two. It wasn’t particularly busy, but that’s more a sign of winter fatigue and the economy, I assume.

I did get to play some ‘adult’ stuff that is not part of my regular repertoire and that’s healthy. I surprised myself with some songs, in fact. But I was wrestling with my guitar all night. The action is up from last time so it was a chore to play and tune, as well. It did make me concentrate on playing though.

All in all, a good night. I’m still a little sore from yesterday’s long road trip. I made it back to Godfrey’s to catch the last part of Tret Fure’s set and it was good to settle in an hear her sing, watch her perform. She is so good and I’m proud to know her all these years.

Time off tomorrow. Radio show on Sunday and LV Music Awards on Sunday.
