Welcome to the whims of Turnpikes and schedules. We hit the road early for a 9:15 hit (as Donnie says) in Thorndale, PA. PA Turnpike had signs saying, “11 miles, 72 minutes”. Detour and a GPS will save the day. Actually, they did.
But local traffic’s a bitch anywhere nowadays, and the extra hour I had planned shrunk to 15 minutes, and we actually got the shows up on time. Not in the best of mood, though.
We were saved by the K -2nds in the first show, and the energy was good and fun. The second show with the 3rd -5ths was cool, but the little kids understand…. It remains amazing how much we get back from what we do, and who we do it for.
