A two hour trek to upstate NJ, near the NY border for a middle school assembly.  The trip included a big tie-up on Rt 80 with an accident (you could tell by the traffic helicopter ahead in the sky).  We knew it would be tight, but the school was, thankfully, flexible – not always the case with MS’s.  400 5th through 8th grades, with the 5th and 6th graders up and dancing, and the elders in the 7th and 8th grades acting maturely.

One of the music teachers knew Nick from way back.  It was somewhat shocking to drive for 2 hours and have someone come up and ask for Nick.  Its a small world.  All in all, we were well received and it was worth the 4 plus hours on the road.

Back to PA and a protest gig in the afternoon.
