Things are pretty slow, but a nice gig cropped up on Thursday at a seniors brunch at Bethel Church in Emmaus.  About 40 folks stopped by for a set of music, some beef stew and flu shots.  I loved the fact that I was opening for flu shots, and wish I could book some more.

I brought out the banjo, mandolin and guitar and played a variety of my tunes, with some mellow humor mixed in, and it went well.  An old friend Dave, picker himself, was in the audience, and gave me a bag of bakery treats.  Very nice.

One lady commented on Baby Shark, in that she has family in the Czech Republic, and knew that song from them. How about that?  International folk song.  Some other folks came up and had some nice comments as well.  Time well spent.

Showcase in Philly on Friday.
